Have you seen the trailer for Call Of Duty 6 – the new Modern Warfare 2 release due out on November 10, 2009?

This is one of the most anticipated games in years.

There has been some discussion that the price is a bit higher than comparable games as evidenced by the pre-order campaign available on Amazon. See Below;

In truth fans of this game will not have a problem spending a few extra dollars given the popularity of the first edition. The game is built by Infinity Ward and published by Activision.

Activision UK managing director Andrew Brown defends the decision to price Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 at a higher price stating,

“This is an industry where things cost a lot to develop and it’s a risky business. We talk about building franchises; it is very expensive to do this from every respect. What we are finding is that for the right products, if you look at the time someone will spend playing something and compare it to something else, people are saying it’s worth it.” See full interview on MCV

This is the second chapter in the Modern Warfare series. Modern Warfare 2 continues where the first edition left off with a new threat that attempts to bring the world to the brink of collapse. You the hero Sgt. Gary Sanderson aka “Roach” and your squad of elite international soldiers will fight through numerous combat scenarios spanning the snows of Siberia all the way to the sun drenched beaches and streets of Rio in Brazil. You face a terrorist force dedicated to changing the lines of today’s modern warfare. You can play this game as a single player or with the help of others in the cooperative Spec-Ops mode. There is also the enhanced death-match warfare which is played on a variety of Modern Warfare 2 maps.
